Focus on God, not money – Ohemaa Mercy advice to gospel musicians
Celebrated gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy has advised fellow musicians and upcoming and coming gospel artistes to stop seeing the industry as a lucrative business venture.
According to her, even though she has cemented her career with her gifted sensational voice, she believes God has given everyone a unique talent they must develop.
Speaking on Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM with Doreen Andoh, the ‘Aseda’ hitmaker indicated that, "It’s a big problem when people want to listen to man, not God. People want to be in the business because of money; which is very wrong."
“It would be better if people always listen to God and be conscious about the work than focusing on money,” she said.
Revealing her source of inspiration, she said, "if we allow God to be the centre of everything, the blessings come automatically."
Ohemaa Mercy urged gospel musicians to work hard and obey the voice of God other than relying on hearsays.
“There are a lot of people deviating from what they came with. They have to focus on their management. I always want to listen to God. First, you need to be careful of association, friends. You have to choose a man of God that will be your father…,” she advised.
